Lets Makeup

Hello there,

So I am currently far away from my crafting zone but I do have a little something to share with you. Sorry to make this a short and sweet message but this post was scheduled for today but I am writing it on the Wednesday the 29th. After I write this I am going to start packing my things and heading over to my boyfriends house so that we can leave early tomorrow (Thursday) morning for Pismo. I am super excited, I dont think I will be doing any sleeping tonight with such excitement for tomorrow. It will be my first time riding on the dunes and I just can't wait. When I get back I hope to post some pictures. I have a feeling there won't be to many pics because I'm going with a group of 19 other friends who probably won't like my constant picture snapping and I need both hands on my quad to ride so I will have no free hand for picture taking or a place to store my camera while riding. So enough about my trip I will be back soon with pics, the rest of my wedding invitation samples and maybe I will have some creations to share once I'm back and in the same city as my crafting zone.

Until then have a great day and Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Wedding Invitation #7

Here is another invitation in the long skinny style. This one I like better than the previous one, for some reason I like the knotted look on this invitation, it gives it character and dresses it up. Again this was one that didn't get the pretty paper. I got to a point were I couldn't see invitations anymore, I had made a few really pretty one's and I figured that I needed to throw in some traditional and plain ones in case that was the brides idea for her invitation, but I'm so glad that it wasn't her choice. Her choice will be the last invitation I show, it's also my favorite from all the ones I made.

So here it is. Stay tuned for more!

Wedding Invitation #6

Finally some more Wedding Invitations to share with you all. I finally got a chance to take the rest of the picture to be able to share with you all. So like I have said I made a wide variety of invitations, different sizes and styles, so this invitation is a longer skinnier invitation. Real simple and traditional. Not one of my favorites but I had to make a variety in case the Bride liked it. A few of these I did as a last resort to having more of a variety and therefore the white paper is just plain white paper because the printer that I was using was not an Inkjet and it just wouldn't print on my paper, but if it were to be 'the invitation' then it would get the pretty paper.

So here it is. Enjoy!!!

Featured on Stampendous

I wanted to share my excitement with all of you. I recieved an email on July 17th from Martha Smallwood at Stampendous stamps, asking me if they could feature my Changito card on their new blog. It was a card that I had done back in March before Spring Break.

Of course I said yes, that was after I had jumped up and down and did a little dance.

Well today is the day it went live for all who visit to see. I love all things Stampendous and this is such an honor for me. I'm walking on the clouds. If you look up you might even see me. LOL

Thanks for stopping by and joining me in my celebration. Don't forget to go over to Stampendous blog and check out my card as well as other Featured Stampers.

Early Birthday Celebration

Hi Everyone,

So I mentioned that today was my birthday and that I had quite a few plans for this week. So yesterday my boyfriend and I headed down to Petaluma to enjoy the scenery and purchase some oysters to BBQ for my birthday dinner. I had a blast, it was so pretty down there and the weather was just perfect!!! We purchase the oysters in Tamales Bay and headed down to the Tamales Bay State Park to find a picnic area with a BBQ to have some lunch. It was just perfect!! Then I wanted to see the Lighthouse down there but by the time we go there it was closed and we could have walked to it but from the Park were it was some 80 degrees, the temperature to the Lighthouse dropped to a cold and misty 57 degrees, everyone there was getting out of their cars with winter jackets and pants while I was sporting my cute lil summer cloths, so we decided it would be our first destination on our next trip to Petaluma and we headed home to BBQ at home with the family. I couldn't have asked for a better day!!! So here are some pics from our day.

Me, the Birthday Girl, striking a pose, lol

My Boyfriend, Danny, and I (lol how I love my handy-dandy tripod, it's so great for these occasions)

I had an absolute blast, and my celebration is only getting started becuase on Thursday morning some 14-17 of us are leaving for pismo to go relax and go ride quads on the sand dunes. I'm super excited for that because it will be my first time riding on the dunes and it'll be my first time sporting my new quad and helmet that my boyfriend got me for my Birthday, I really didn't expect or ever dream of such a big gift but I'm super excited about it, you have no idea!!! I'll being posting some picture of my weekend later next week.

Enjoy everyone, and as always thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of the week and wish me luck out in pismo on the sand dunes

Featured as a CAS fav on Splitcoast

I was featured on Clean and Simple Favorites for Week Ending July 26, 2009 , how exciting is that!!! If you scroll down on the above link I'm mentioned in the 18th comment by Miss Boo as one of her "CAS favs." Miss Boo happens to be the Coordinator for SplitcoastStampers' CAS Challenge Design Team Summer 2009, so how great is it that that she mentioned me as one of her CAS favs. What a pleasure that is, I feel so honored. She featured this card from my Splitcoast Gallery, I had no idea it was a featured CAS until k dunbrook left me a comment telling me. I'm so excited!!!

I have no card for you all today, I'm just relaxin since today is my Birthday and I'm a few mile from my crafting supplies, but I will be sharing some photos of my celebration.

Thanks for stopping by have a great day!!!

Wedding Invitation #5

Hey there,

Happy Sunday!!! I hope you are all enjoying the start to your day. I know I have a lot planned for today. Tomorrow is my 22nd Birthday so my boyfriend and I are going to go to church with my parents today at 8:30 and then we are going to drive down to Petaluma for the day and hang out and then grab a few bags of fresh oyster and bring them home for a bbq dinner, DELICIOUS!!!! Can't wait!!!

So here is Invitation #5. I really like this layout for some reason, I love the extra layer on top of the invitation. The only problem with this invitation set is that it is a bit bulky and heavy so when it comes to having to mail a few invitations it's going to get a bit pricey, but its still a gorgeous invitation, very sweet and simple.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your Sunday before the work week starts again!!!

Wedding Invitation #4

Hey there,

Here is Invitation #4, not quite my favorite but I needed a variety to show the bride. This layout also came from an invitation website, probably the same website as invitation #3, but I have no idea what website. I think if I were to do this invitation again I would put a layer of white between the velum and the bluebell cardstock, I think it would help make it look a little better. Just an idea.

So here it is. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!!!

Wedding Invitations #3

Hi there,

I hope you are all enjoying the start to your Friday. Here is Wedding invitation #3. I decided to change up the layout a bit and go with a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 invitation size and I also decided to do something with Velum to give the bride some more options to choose from. For a lot of these invitations I went to invitation websites and got the ideas for the templates from them and this card happens to be one that the original idea came off a website but I can't remember which website, you'll have to forgive me for that, there were soooo many websites that I looked at for ideas!! A lot!!!

So here it is Wedding Invitation #3. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!!!

Wedding Invitation #2

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Today I am going to share #2 of the 11 wedding invitations I made.

For this card I went along with the same layout as the first card. Super Simple and traditional. But for this card I decided to use colors on the hydrangea. I pulled out my Cat Eyes and inked the stamp in blue and then inked up just the centers of the hydrangeas with purple and added some green to the stem to get the pretty colors of a real hydrangea.

So here it is, take a look. Enjoy!!!

Wedding Invitation #1

Hey everyone,

So I promised you all I would share the many wedding invitations that I made. I made some 11 different wedding invitations and a little milk carton favor, which could use a little bit of help. So here is the deal, since I'm on summer vacation and this coming week is my birthday and I'll be heading out to Pismo mid next week with my boyfriend, his brother and sister-in-law and some 8 other friends to hit the dunes and ride quads, which I am super excited about because I've never ridden on the dunes. I can't wait!!! So while I'm enjoying my vacation, I will slowly try to share my wedding invitations and a few other random things.

So here are some random details about these invitations and the wedding. The bride's color for the wedding is indigo which is a very dark purplish blue color like this dress to the left, which isn't easy to find in paper or ribbon.

She also wants the flowers at the wedding to be hydrangeas and she wants them to be as close in color to this hydrangea here.
So when it came to choosing paper colors I had a choice between three colors that were no where close to the color she wanted. There was a purple that had a burgundy tent and then there was a very dark navy blue color and then there was this Bluebell color that I thought was a good choice because it is kind of a hydrangea color, and the bride agreed. So my next step was to look around for matching ribbon which was another complicated task and I managed to find some matching ribbon at a Joanns Super Store in their wedding ribbon section. I also used a Hydrangea stamp by Impression Obsession since the flowers at the wedding are going to be hydrangea and I figured it would be a nice decoration on the invitations.

I first started with the super simple invitations and moved my way up to the more time consuming invitations and the ones that in my opinion are the prettier ones. I had no idea what the bride had in mind so I made a little bit of everything and when I presented them to here I told her that if there was something she liked on one card but she didn't like it we could put it on the card that she liked and vice versa. There are so many options and things that can be changed up and added.

From the 11 she choose one, one of the prettier ones, which I'm very glad about, I'm not a big fan of the super simple and the usual, I like the unique and pretty ones. Although it's going to take a lot of time for me to put them together I wont mind, they will be absolutely gorgeous when they are all done!! I will share the one that she choose last so you may have to wait for it because I still have to take 4 more pictures and a picture of the favor, so with everything that I have planned for next week Im not sure when I will be able to take those last pics and post them. I'll try my best to get them up in a timely fashion.

So enough with the blabing, here is the first invitation. I've blurred information out for privacy reasons, but the idea behind the invitation is still visible. Enjoy!!

Wedding Thank you Cards

So I mentioned a while back that I was working on some wedding cards and the bride has chosen the card that she wants, so now I need to work on the different details of just the card style.

Today I will share with you a simple wedding thank you card that I made to match the cards, I made it just to make it, in my opinion the best wedding thank you cards are the one with the pictures from the wedding, those are my fav, so this is a just because thank you card.

So here it is, I made the card, I took the picture and then I wanted to play with a technique that I have never tried. After embossing the hydrangea I decided to sponge in the colors and add some pearls. These pictures don't do the card much justice, it looks so much better in person, but let me know what you think. Enjoy!!!!

SBSC68 Dairy Remodel

Here is another sketch from Splitcoast, but this sketch, I beleive, was originally Pencil Lines Sketch #4 but either way it was another sketch that I gave a try. I thought it was another perfect one because all the pictures were going in the same direction. I just flipped the sketch over to work with my pictures and I gave it a try. Check it out. Enjoy!!

I had an extra picture for this page so I took up the journaling space to place the extra pic and I will probably use the other pages journaling section to journal about both pages. The little word window punches have the date that the photos were taken hand written on them.

A little Tip: Lol and if you are wondering how I managed to get such a big cirle, I didn't use any templete or anything, I went into my kitchen and grabbed the biggest circular bowl I had and I traced it on the back of my DP and cut it out by hand, no need for purchasing extra objects just use the ones you have around the house lol

I was supposed to make the sketches opposite of each other but by the time I had noticed what I had done, it was to late, so both sketches are the same, not one for the right page and one for the left like I have been making all the other pages. Oh well.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed and for those of us in the USA, have a great 4th of July!!!

SBSC129 Baby Calves

So this time I went through the Splitcoast stampers sketches in search for a layout and this was what I found. I liked the layout because all the pictures were horizontal and as I stated before about my scrapbook, almost all of my pictures or horizontal so it makes it hard to fit them together.

I only used the left side of the sketch because it worked best with the amount of pictures that I had for these two pages. So here is what I came up with for this sketch.

The pictures on these two pages are of the baby calf facilities, which were moved from one area to another and updated a bit. The tabs on the side of the pictures have the dates that the pictures were taken. I wrote the dates in black ink but I need to go over it with white ink to make it more visible. I love how the pictures came out with the sketch and I especailly like the picture on lighter paper, I think they just look better in general on lighter paper.

Thanks for stopping by.
