Five more days...

...tell Christmas. Before I leave to go spend some time with my family and celebrate the holidays I decided to make some more Christams cards.

I decided to use a super cute layout from Paper Cuts by Michele Boyer and use my My Hero Stamp set by Treehouse stamps.

The little girl in the stamp reminds me alot of myself and my dad when I was little, I always liked to dance on my dads feet, I'm to big now but I still enjoy dancing with my dad.

Enjoy!!!

For this second stamp in the set I thought the boy was dressed up like the little girl, but we are just going to imagine that they are spending Christmas in Hawaii or some place warm lol.

Two Challenges in One Card

Sorry that I've been MIA, I had a great Thanksgiving, spent it with family and friends we had a delicious dinner, and the rest of the week I went out with my brother and with friends, so I had a great time. So now I'm back in Sac and we only have one week of school and then it's finals week so I've been studying and playing some last minute catch up, I have two essays due next week, two tests next week and then two finals and then it's vacation time again until the end of January, so during vacation I will have lots and lots of time to play with my cards, which Im really excited about. But for now I bring you this card that I made while taking a break from writing an essay. Enjoy!!

For this card I put two challenges together into one card, just like my title says. I did a TCP Tuesday inspiration challenge and a Mojo Monday challenge together .

Here are the two challenges...

Hope everyone had a good black Friday. I only went to Michaels to buy my mom some Chirstmas stuff and that was it, did feel like fighting the crowd to much.

Anybody start putting their Christmas stuff up. Im going to help my mom put her things up this weekend and then when I head back up to school on Sunday Im going to start decorating my apartment for Christmas too. Super Excited!!!

Here are some cards that I made, I was just playing with Fluffles and here is what I came up with... The ornaments and lights on all the cards were given dimension with a glaze pen so they are shinny and when you touch the card it has a little bump where the glaze is on all the oranments.

Christmas Slider Card

I couldn't help but fall in love with this card by Jillian over at Ink, Stamp, & Scrap. I had an idea of how I was going to make it work but while at Friday Night Stamping Fun Night I had to ask Jill exactly how she made it. Boy was I off, then she explained and lol that was even more complicated, and she told me to look at it for a while, so I did and I played and pulled and pushed and then I began to understand.

So here is my sample that I will share with you. Enjoy!!!

Stamps: Mary and Joseph (Elzybells), Stampendous Family Season, Inkadinkado O Holy Night, Hero Arts Snowflake & Flourish Bkgrd.

Weekend Sketch Challenge #67

Hi there,

I thought I would give Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge a try. I did it the same time I did the TECC43 challenge so I used the same paper and stamps and went along with the baby theme again.

I did it late at night and I guess I wasn't really paying much attention cause for this first card I taped the ribbon backwards, I did all the hard work of putting two ribbons together and then I taped them down wrong, I was a bit upset but there was nothing I could really do, it was permanently stuck. Oh well, there is always next time.

Recipe:
Stamps: SU Bundled in Love
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack); Aquamarine ColorBox Chalk; Rose Coral ColorBox Chalk
Markers: Copic YR20 Yellowish Shade
Paper: Nana's Nursery Baby Girl, Nana's Nursery Baby Boy,
Accessories: Creme American Craft Premium Ribbon; Buttons; Dimensional Glue Dots, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder

To participate in the challenge and be entered in the raffle, make a card with this layout and upload it either to your blog, or to an online gallery.

If you upload your card on SCS, put WSC67 (NO SPACE INBETWEEN WSC AND 67) in the keyword section. That way we can look at all of them at once!

Post a link to your card to this blog entry as a comment. Please add your entry# to it.

Beate will determine the winner with Random.org on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. CST.

Fun Embossing Technique

Scrapnextras featured Technique Tuesday; Fun with Embossing Powder. Well she wasn't joking it really was fun!!! :-D I had a blast, it was cool to see all the colors come out after heating it, it was amazing lol, I could go on for days about how cool it was and how nicely it looks when it's done, beautiful and simple.

I only had a hard time lining up my background stamp because my card was bigger than my background stamp so I had to attempt to line it up again and make it look nice. The first time I failed and then I tried attempting it a different way and I succeeded. Hurray for me, looks great. Thanks Laura for the great Technique!!!

Enjoy!!!!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #43

Last night I decided to play with the TECC43 Sketch Challenge and I made some baby cards.

I have two cousins who just had baby's this last month one a boy and the other a girl and another one of my cousins just announced that she is expecting a baby boy for April so I thought it would be appropriate to make some baby cards using this sketch. Also I have had this set forever, I think it was one of the first sets I bought when I started purchasing from SU and until last night it has never been inked, it's probably been a good year since I got it, so I finally inked it up. About time huh?!!!

The first card I made for a little baby boy, I had to change the sketch from portrait to landscape because it didn't seem to work for the images and sentiment I had, first I changed the sentiment and it still didn't work so I just flipped the card and continued to make it not thinking to go back to my original sentiment from the set, "Welcome Baby," which would have worked better for sending out to my cousins. But it all works out either way.

For this second card I did the same thing, but I thought it would be cute to give the baby feet some dimension so I popped them up with dimension dots.

Now it's your turn to to try the sketch! Taylor will choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on Taylor's blog during Cupcake Friday. You're not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got 'em why not use 'em!? You're welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you'll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you're uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC43 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 43). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so Taylor can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, November 24th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler.

Stamps: SU Bundled in Love
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack); Aquamarine ColorBox Chalk; Rose Coral ColorBox Chalk
Markers: Copic YR20 Yellowish Shade
Paper: Nana's Nursery Baby Girl, Nana's Nursery Baby Boy,
Other: Green Gross Grain Ribbon; Buttons; Dimensional Glue Dots

Warm and Cozy Wishes...

For the Friday Hanna Stamps challenge over on SCS Jannette's challenge was this sketch.

I was inspired by a card I saw at Rubbah Soul called Knit happens and I thought it would work well with Fluffles.

For this first card I made Fluffles sweater with white flock...and then it got a little messy, I was trying to ink the edge of the stamped image and then it accidentally fell into the ink so then I just decided to go with it and just ink the entire image, didn't come out to bad but that wasn't the look I was going for.

For this second image I went and made Fluffles collar white so that the ribbon at the bottom would match his sweater, and he to got a lil messed up when my fingers were all inked up with red ink but that didn't bother me, so I left it.

Friday Night Stamp Night at Jillian's place was soooo much fun!!!! We had a blast!!! We all stamped, ate, and laughed all night long and we got to play with Chloe you adorable new puppy dog, she had just brought it home last night too so we all got to meet her for the first time, she was so sweet!!! But yes we had a great time and I got to use some of Jillian's stamps, and I stamped myself a bunch of images that I don't own so I'm sure when I get a chance I will share all those images with you. Thanks for a fun night Jillian!!!

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by, take care!!!
