D-IC Mouse on Broom

Happy Halloween!!!!

Yeah it's finally tonight!!! I'm so excited, I feel like a little kid again, lol!! So my boyfriend and I were going to be Vampire's but that fell through when my costume wasn't at the store and it was only online. I didn't want to risk ordering it and then it not getting here on time. I don't know. So we changed our minds lol, Daniel thought it would be funny to be a priest and a nun so that is what we are doing tonight. It is probably a better idea any way since the nun costume will keep me warm and away from getting sicker as I am still trying to cure my bronchitis. I'm sure I will have some pictures to share with you. I tried my costume on the day I bought it and when I saw myself in the mirror I literally laughed out loud, it was pretty funny. Although it's not the first time I put on a nun outfit, it is the first time in many years. The last time I tried one on was probably when I was 7 or something. If your wondering, my neighbor back home was once a nun, she still does nun things but doesn't wear the outfit, so I guess when we were little she thought it would be funny or cute to put my sister and I in it. I'll have to look for the picture when I stop by on Monday and then I can show you both picture lol.

As for today I just want to share with you a Halloween card. I got this super cute Mouse & Broom image from Digital-Ink Co. This lil mouse makes quite the cute witch, hopefully we won't be seeing any of them flying around tonight, lol!

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a spooktacular day and enjoy all of your event tonight!!!!

InStyle Stamps Blog Hop

Hi there,

Welcome to the October InStyle Stamps Blog Hop!! Before I get to the Hop details I just want to let you all know that I had a follow-up with my doctor yesterday and she says that my bronchitis is much better and that the meds are working well, so I will be as good as new soon. That works for me cause that means no more coughing and whizzing for me, horray, and just in time for Halloween, yeah!!!! Now lets get back to it!!

This months hop theme is Set the Table. InStyle Stamps has release some great stamps this month!! They have release a line called Recipe and those are some of the images you will be seeing today in my post.

Enjoy!!!!

D-IC Halloween Haunted House

Boo!!!!

Hehe, Hi there!!! I'm getting a little excited here, Halloween is right around the corner!! I haven't been feeling myself so hopefully I will be able to participate in Halloween events on Saturday. My boyfriend and I have several parties to attend and we have decided to go as Vampires so I think that will be fun. He wants me to paint his face and make him all up, not sure how that will go but I think I'll have fun putting him all together, Im not sure I want to paint my face though, but we will see. ISS Slice of Cake

Goodmorning,

I hope you are all doing well this morning! I'm still under the weather but hopefully these antibiotics will start kicking in and kick'n some virus butt cause I can't stand coughing anymore! This breathing treatment that I take for the cough makes my heart beat fast and it makes me shaky. The doctor warned me about this but I didn't think the symptoms would be so noticeable.

Anyways, here is another InStyle Stamps image. This one is called Slice of Cake. I decided to make it more real by adding some liquid applique to the inside of the cake and add some textured to the top by adding some flower soft.

Enjoy my delicious looking cake!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!

ISS Cherry Pie

Hi there,

Sorry this post is a little late today. I still haven't been feeling well and today before class I managed to get to the Student Health Center on campus and the doctor diagnosed me with bronchitis. It's no longer a cold or what I thought might have been the swine flu it is officially bronchitis, so I get to be on antibiotics, Mucinex, and breathing treatments for the next 5 days and then I have to go in again to see that my lungs are all better. As for my post today I scheduled my posts for the rest of the month last Thursday and I forgot to take a pic of one card that I hadn't made yet so I'll have to take my picture later today and post it for sometime this week. I still have to head back to school to pick up my perscriptions from the pharmacy. As for now I will share with you this card. This is an InStyle Stamps image, it's called Cherry Pie, but I guess I didn't pay much attention to that cause I made it a pumpkin pie, or maybe it is peach. Either way it's definitley not a cherry pie but that is what it is called. As for now I am going to get back to my chicken soup and run my errands, sorry for the short post.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by have a great day and make sure that Cali wind doesn't blow you to far ;-)!!!

Digital-Ink Co. Recipe Challenge (DIC008)

Hi there,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!!! Today is the start of a new work/school week and today marks week eight of the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC008). This weeks challenge is a recipe challenge which is to use fabric, glitter,a button/s, and a bow/s.

For my card I used Christmas Puppy by Jules Junk (D-IC). When looking at my image you may ask where my fabric is but I don't have any real fabric laying around, but if I was at home with my mom she might just have had some left over quilting fabric I could have used, but I'm at school so hopefully my ribbon will count as fabric or maybe my prima flower which is made of fabric. As for my button, it is black and it is hiding in the darkness of my prima flower and thats why you just see the embroidery floss. As for the rest of the recipe its all visible.

I hope you will take the time to play with us some time between now and Sunday, October 25th at 8 pm. When submitting your creation use the Mr. Linky on the D-IC Challenge Blog. Also when uploading to SCS please use the keyword DIC008 and don't forget that the image I used today is available in the Store plus many more!!

Enjoy!!!

Please remeber this is the last week that Digital-Ink Co. is having 50% off the entire store, so hurry on over there to make your purchases and also don't forget to signup for the newsletter, because by signing up you get a free image each month.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day and I hope to see your DIC008 challenge creation soon!!!

D-IC Zee Sleeping on the Moon

Hello there,

I hope you are all having a great evening!!! Today was a Furlough day for me so I didn't have class. I spent most of my day creating along with sneezing, coughing, and blowing my nose and just feeling exhausted and really not wanting to do anything at all. Yea so whatever bug I got on Saturday has decided to stay with me, I'm just glad there is no fever, and headache involve and it's just cold symptoms. Hopefully it will be passing soon.

This evening I just want to share a lil card with you. I meant to share it on Monday but Mondays D-IC challenge was a "Anything but a Card" challenge so I didn't think it was appropriate at that time to share it but this card matches this door hanger that I made for the D-IC challenge exactly.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by this evening!! Enjoy the rest of you night!!

ISS Paris Scene

Hey there,

I hope you are all having a great day and that your weekends went well!! I, myself, had the worst weekend ever despite the fact that I was hoping for the best weekend ever. It started off with the Scrapbook Expo being a waste of time. In my opinion there was nothing good there, or at least nothing that  I wanted to spend my money on. Then when I was going to my car there was a parking ticket on my windshield, ahhh, if only I had just put in a few quarters and not been confused by all the confusing parking signs, ahh whatever, what  I didn't spend in the expo gets to pay for my ticket. I guess it works.

The rest of my friday went well and then Saturday came and my afternoon was great but I was on my feet all day at an event and it had rained that day so we were all dressed warmly and the weather decided to turn and become extremely hot so we were sweating, not cool. Then evening came and my feet were killing me and we were standing for mass and I started feeling sick, and I was getting hot and clammy, I thought it was because my feet hurt so I took a shoe off and I was ok for a lil bit but then I started feeling sick again. I was finally able to grab myself a chair and have a seat, as they were all full before. After mass there was a candle light proccession and I walked, as long as I was moving my feet were fine, then after the procession my boyfriend and I were not feeling well so we ended up going home early.

Then on Sunday Daniel got up with a cough and then in the middle of the afternoon he got a fever and was off and on hot and cold, and clammy and then his head was hurting, we didn't think much of it. Then on Monday I woke up with a cough and then that afternoon I got the same symptoms. I was miserable, Daniel must have taken it better than me, because  I just layed on the couch trying to sleep. Then when I went to bed, I was having these crazy dreams and I was pulling on and off my blankets, I couldn't make up my mind, it was all weird and scary at the same time. Fever's do some strange things to the mind. Never the less I'm feeling a lot better today, I still have a bad cough and I'm still feeling achy. I'm not sure if it was just a normal flu or if it was the H1N1 but what ever it was it was ugly and I'm glad it only lasted a day, because if it had lasted longer, I'm not sure how much I could have taken.

Anyways enough about my miserable weekend. How about a card?!!! This card uses two brand new images from InStyle Stamps. The are the Shop and the Resto images, from the Paris Scene.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and don't forget to head over to the InStyle Stamp Blog to see what Wednesday Challenge they have for you this week!!!

ISS Method Monday Upright Z Card

Hey there,

Yesterday I was the host for Method Monday over at the InStyle Stamps Blog. You may have already visited the ISS blog and seen my tutorial but if you haven't I decided to give a tutorial on the very cool Upright Z Card. It's a card that was recently introduced to me, I think it was a challenge over on SCS earlier this month, so when doing my regular blog hopping I saw quite of few people participating so I thought it would be a great card to teach and actually get to make.

I don't usually try new things for fun, unless it's for christmas cards, thats the only time I will venture into making something other than a plan card. I don't know why, I guess I think it might take longer than I want, or as my boyfriend would say, "I don't like trying new things." You have to pull my teeth to actually try something that I've never tried. I love Sushi now but you could not get me to eat raw fish at first, and then I tried it and now you can't keep me away from it. So it just takes me time to try something new and then I'm all over it.

Oopps, hehe enough about me... yes, so I made an Upright Z Card, which is pictured below. If you are interested in the whole tutorial feel free to head on over to my post on the InStyles Stamp blog.

Enjoy!!!

Also don't forget about InStyle Stamps HUGE Sale!! They are going crazy over there, all digital images and stamps are marked down to make way for new stuff!

All digital images regular $3.00 are now $1.00. All stamps are now $3.00. Yeah they are crazy.

There are even some new images in the store that will be showcased on the DT blogs shortly...they haven't even been seen yet. It's crazy!!!

Head on over there now while supplies last and dont forget to look around for those new and super cute images!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!

Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC007)

Hey there,

I hope your week has started off on the right foot and your weekend was filled with lots of relaxation time and family and friends!!! I had awesome weekend, and it was definitely filled with family, friends and great memories!! Today I hope you will join me in playing week seven of the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC007). This weeks Challenge is to create Anything But a Card (a gift bag, cupcake, scrap page, journal, etc).

I especially love these challenges, it gets me thinking outside of the box and thinking about other things that  I could make. For this particular project that I made, I've been meaning to make it for a while now and my boyfriend gave me a little extra push to actually make it.

Here is the story: Daniel's mom babysits her little grandson, and Daniel said he stopped by to visit and see the lil' guy since it had been a while. When he got there he noticed on the kitchen table a big piece of computer paper that read, " DON'T RING DOOR BELL, BABY SLEEPING!! Daniel said he thought that was funny but it must have been because the neighbor must come by often and ring the door bell.

So he gave me the idea to make his mom a Door Hanger that read exactly what her piece of paper read. If your wondering why  I chose blue and not a neutral baby color it's because Daniels mom has four boys herself and she has one grandson and another lil boy on the way. She was hoping for a lil girl this time but she's not on her way yet, atleast not from her oldest son.

So here is what I came up with. Enjoy!!!

I think it's just perfect and I'm sure Daniel's mom will love it!!! Ethan's crib bedding is Zebra so I thought this lil image by Sewn Together was just super cute for his lil door hanger.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and don't forget to head over to the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog and check out what inspirations the other Design Team members have for ya.

ISS WS Kit Rainy Cynthia

Hi there,

I hope you are all enjoying your week. I'm pretty excited, it's the middle of the week, at least for most of you, as for me, my week ends tomorrow at 1pm and I am soooo excited. I have a whole weekend of fun planned with my boyfriend, oh and the Scrapbook Expo comes to Sacramento on Saturday and Sunday so I'll be attending that too. Hopefully  I won't spend to much there but I do plan on getting a few things while I'm there.

Today I want to share with you all a card that I made using today's InStyle Stamps Wednesday Challenge which is to use Glitter and Glitz on your card/project. So what a better image to use other than one of InStyle's sweet Fairy Cynthia stamps. Cythia always makes me want to use glitter on her, as  I have told you all before, I just don't think she is complete without the addition of stickles and shimmerz. Which so happens to be perfect for this weeks Challenge.

Note: Sorry I was a little confused and today is not InStyle Wednesday Challenge, today is Over the Humpday Blog Candy Give-a-way at InStyles stamps, and this challenge was postponed for January, so sorry for the confusion, but do still enjoy my post!

Enjoy!!!

I hope you’ll join in on the fun. One lucky participant will receive an InStyle Stamps digital image of their choice. Please be sure to use an ISS image on your card and upload the link by commenting at the end of the Wednesday Challenge post on the ISS Blog by 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20th.

Baby's Everywhere!!

Hey there,

I hope you are all enjoying your week!!! I know I am, this week I only have my Tuesday and Thursday classes. My Wednesday and Friday classes this week are being Furloughed so we don't have class. Yup even college classes are being furloughed, how sad is that. For my Friday class on our own we are supposed to go over what would have been scheduled for the class that day, which includes going over notes, reading and teaching ourselves how to use Microsoft Access and then take an assessment to see if we learned anything. Not to hard but all the things we would have done during a 3 hour period with our instructor. I'm still excited though, it means I get a 4 day weekend, this semester I don't have classes on Monday so I always have a 3 day weekend!! Lucky me, huh?!!

For today I want to show you some baby cards. No joke, this year I know sooo many pregnant women, all due from now to March. They all decided to get pregnant all due around the same time. Must have been something in the water, ;-). And then I know several women on the blogs that I follow who have just had babies too, so it's everywhere not just around me. It must be the season, or something. But yea I have 6 family members, 5 friends, and my boyfriends sister-in-law who are all expecting. That's 12 expecting mommies I know!! I don't think I have ever known so many women expecting all at the same time. I think it's kind of cool.

So for today I have a set of baby cards to share, one for a boy and one for a girl. These cards also qualify for  the Whiff of Joy candy with a twist, which is to make Alison Acton a baby card. She is awaiting the birth of her first child, a little boy, next Friday, the 16th October.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!!!

D-IC Lil' Cowboy on the Farm

Hi there,

Lets just say  I am super excited!!! I have been meaning to put this card together since the first day I saw this Lil Cowboys tush at Digital-Ink Co., lol. I have had him and the rest of the card all colored and ready to just put together but I never got some extra time to actually do it. So yesterday before going to class for my exam I decided that after doing a little studying I would finally put the card all together. I've had this idea for these images for the longest time and finally I got to put it all together. And if I must say so myself, I think it came out just like I had pictured, perfect ;-), hehe!!! Isn't he just freak'n adorable. In a few years when I have my own kids or maybe I won't wait that long, I'll hope for a nephew, I'll buy the lil guy some cowboy boots and a hat and I'll take him outside at my parents dairy and take this exact picture, lol, wouldn't it be adorable?!!! It'll be like an Anne Geddy pic except by me, lol!!

Enough rambling, take a look and Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I did!! Have a great day!!!

The Joy of Stress...

Yup you heard me right, The Joy of Stress, it's a video I just watched in my Health Psychology class before we took the test. It was absolutely hilarious and so true. I wish I could show you the whole movie because it would make a whole lot more sense but I'm going to share the clips that I was able to find on YouTube.

Loretta LaRoche, who is the host, talks about stress and how 75% of our daily conversation is Negative. I thought that was pretty interesting. People just walk around saying how they feel bad and how work sucks, and the weather is ugly and how they sat in traffic, why make yourself feel worse by talk about it over and over again. She talks about how we should be more like little kids, when it rains little kids think "Oh yeah its raining I get to jump in the Puddles" and us adults, including myself, think "oh no it's raining, I'm going to get wet, my hair is going to frizz up, there is going to be more traffic" etc.

Anyways Loretta just goes to say that we cause our own stress, we make things worse by thinking about them negatively. She goes to say that by laughing we can heal ourselves and not be so stressed. In one of the clips that is what she makes the audience do, put on a big cheesy grin, lift up your eyebrows, hold on to your belly and laugh hysterically for 30 seconds. Then she goes to say that some of the audience didn't do it because they were thinking "what are they thinking" referring to the people around them which is something we all do, we are always thinking about what others think of us. Definitely unnecessary!!!

I hope that you guys enjoy these short clips, and I hope that someday you can see the whole movie as I did today, because it gives life a great perspective and its definitely going to make me think differently!!!

I hope you guys enjoyed the short clips, ,know run to you local video store and get the whole 45 minute copy, it will really give you a more positive perspective on life and make you laugh a whole lot!!!

DBDS FLT61 Kaleidoscope

Hello there,

Just a quick post for today. Today I want to share with you a new image and sentiment from Doodle Bean Digital Stamps. It's a Kaleidoscope. Pretty cool, huh??!!

For this card I decided to go with a sketch from clean and simple. I participated in their Fall-To Layout 61 (FLT #61), pictured to the left. I thought this was definitely a clean and simple sketch that would work perfectly for this new Kaleidoscope image and sentiment from DBDS.

So here is what I came up with. Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day, and wish me luck on my first final of the semester, Health Psychology!! Thanks!!!
